Bahrain Grand Prix qualifying Results: Piastri dominates…Read more

Oscar Piastri delivered a standout performance to grab pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix, while key title contenders Lando Norris and Max Verstappen were left down the order in sixth and seventh, respectively.

Tension ran high in the Red Bull garage during the closing moments of Q1, as both Verstappen and teammate Yuki Tsunoda were on the verge of elimination. The RB21 proved difficult to handle, and neither driver had managed a strong lap heading into their final attempts. Luckily for the team, both escaped the drop zone with late improvements.

There was also a moment of redemption for Jack Doohan, who finished an impressive fifth. The Australian had been under pressure following a crash in FP2 at the Japanese Grand Prix, but his strong qualifying effort helped silence critics and reset his momentum heading into race day.
