Jack Beckman to Drive for John Force Racing in 2025 NHRA Season
In a significant development for the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) community, Jack Beckman has been announced as the full-time driver for John Force Racing’s PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS in the 2025 Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. This decision comes as team founder and drag racing icon John Force continues his recovery from a traumatic brain injury sustained in a high-speed crash in June 2024 at Richmond, Virginia.
A Proven Champion Returns
Beckman, a seasoned racer with a distinguished career, is no stranger to the NHRA circuit. He clinched the NHRA Funny Car championship in 2012 and previously secured the NHRA Super Comp championship in 2003. After a hiatus from full-time competition since 2020, Beckman made a notable return in the latter part of the 2024 season, stepping in for Force. During this period, he participated in eight races, advancing to the final round three times and securing victories in St. Louis and at the season-ending In-N-Out Burger Finals in Pomona. His impressive performance elevated the team’s standings, culminating in a second-place finish in the series points, just behind teammate Austin Prock.
Reflecting on his return, Beckman stated, “I am thrilled to continue a partnership with PEAK and BlueDEF and look forward to returning to JFR in 2025. As a car enthusiast, I believe in using the best products available for both personal and professional applications.”

John Force, a 16-time Funny Car champion and a legendary figure in drag racing, continues to make progress in his recovery. Following his accident in June 2024, Force has been under the care of traumatic brain injury specialists. While he has shown significant improvement, he remains focused on his rehabilitation. Addressing his fans and the racing community, Force shared, “I’m still going to therapy every week and working as hard as I can to get back out there with the sponsors and the fans in a sport I love, and I miss. I’ve still got a lot of things I want to do, so I don’t want anybody thinking they’ve seen the last of John Force.”
