A significant change has been announced by Ferrari ahead of Lewis Hamilton’s much-anticipated debut with the team in 2025. The seven-time world champion will join Scuderia Ferrari next season, marking a fresh chapter in his illustrious career after facing several challenges with Mercedes in recent years. Despite being a dominant force in Formula 1 for much of his career, Hamilton has only won two races since the 2022 regulation changes, with Mercedes struggling to match the pace of their competitors.
Hamilton’s move to Ferrari is seen as a bold step as he aims to chase a record-breaking eighth world title. While his recent years at Mercedes have been marked by frustration, with the team’s performance faltering due to their struggle with the new regulations, the switch to Ferrari offers a new opportunity. The team showed signs of improvement in 2024, even challenging McLaren for the constructors’ championship towards the end of the season.
