Red Bull Issues Official Statement on Verstappen–Mercedes Deal Ahead of British GP…read more

Red Bull has finally broken its silence on the swirling rumors linking Max Verstappen to a shock move to Mercedes.

In a firm statement released ahead of the British Grand Prix, the team made it clear:

“There is no deal. Max is under contract with Red Bull Racing. All speculation is false.”

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko described the ongoing transfer talk as “annoying,” while Team Principal Christian Horner dismissed it as “noise from outside trying to destabilize the team.”

Despite that, the Verstappen-to-Mercedes rumors are gaining traction, especially after Toto Wolff admitted to holding “indirect conversations” about Verstappen’s future.

Max himself stayed diplomatic when questioned at Silverstone:

“I’m happy where I am. Right now, I’m focused on this weekend.”

With his exit clause still active if Red Bull’s performance drops, the door isn’t completely shut. But for now, Red Bull says: Max stays. End of story.
