Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has given his seal of approval to Oscar Piastri’s title aspirations, praising the young Australian driver’s calm and collected approach to the season. Piastri, who currently leads the championship standings with 146 points, has been impressive in his debut season with McLaren, winning four races and consistently finishing on the podium.

Just to keep doing what he’s doing.”

However, the young Australian driver is confident that he can replicate the success of his countrymen who have won in Monaco before. “There’s quite a lot of Australian history around this place,” Piastri said. “It would be nice to add another chapter.”
