According to Ferrari Team Principal, Fred Vasseur, Hamilton has made a great effort to fit in with the team and has been working hard to get up to speed. Vasseur is excited for the season to start and believes that Ferrari has everything in place to do well.
“The wait is finally over, and we’re ready to take to the track for the first race of the season,” Vasseur said. “One could say we’re stepping back in time, as it’s been a few years since Australia hosted the opening round. The Albert Park street circuit is not particularly representative of what the rest of the year has in store, but we did well there last year.”
Vasseur acknowledged that there are still many unknowns, particularly after the Bahrain test, which was difficult to read. However, he is confident that Ferrari has the talent, the expertise, and the determination to succeed.
“Everyone, including the drivers, has worked hard all winter in the factory in Maranello,” Vasseur said. “Charles has also pushed harder than ever in the gym, and Lewis has made a great effort to assimilate with the team as quickly as possible.
