Verstappen summoned to Red Bull HQ amid driver transfer chaos…read more

Max Verstappen, the reigning Formula 1 champion, was recently called to Red Bull’s headquarters in Milton Keynes to discuss the team’s ongoing performance issues, particularly regarding their 2025 challenger, the RB21. The car has gained a reputation for being difficult to handle, and it’s now come to light that Verstappen’s exceptional driving ability might have helped to mask the mechanical problems that plagued Red Bull’s performance last season.

While Verstappen’s talent has kept Red Bull competitive, his former teammate, Sergio Perez, struggled with the car’s difficulties, leading to underperformance. As a result, team principal Christian Horner and F1 advisor Helmut Marko made the decision to replace Perez with junior driver Liam Lawson for 2025. However, Lawson’s time with Red Bull lasted only two race weekends, prompting another lineup change ahead of the upcoming Japanese
