Guardiola and the comparison with José Mourinho: “He won three times and I won six”

After making the number six with his hands in response to provocations from Liverpool fans, the Spanish coach was compared to José Mourinho.

Pep Guardiola has been in the spotlight, not just due to Manchester City’s poor results, but also as a result of the comments he made. In the last press conference before the game against Nottingham Forest, the Spaniard was asked about the number six shirt he made with his hands in response to provocations from Liverpool fans, being compared to José Mourinho.

The gesture in question is reminiscent of that of the Portuguese coach in 2018, when he alluded to the three English championships won. The comparison between the two was made by the press and Pep Guardiola responded with laughter.

“I hope [the same thing doesn’t happen]. After all, maybe I’m very similar to José, but he won [the Premier League] three times and I won six. But it’s the same, we’re in this situation together,” commented.

It is worth noting that, this season, Manchester City has 23 points in 13 rounds, and in the last seven matches they suffered six defeats and one draw.
