The FIA has officially released a revised schedule for this weekend’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone following a security advisory from Northamptonshire Police. The changes come amid heightened concerns over crowd safety, counterfeit tickets, and the need for tighter access control across the event.
In response to the warning, race officials have adjusted the start times for certain sessions to ease congestion and allow better coordination between emergency services, circuit staff, and security personnel.
Key Changes:
- Practice and qualifying sessions will now begin with added buffer time to reduce fan traffic buildup at entry gates.
- Sunday’s race day build-up has also been slightly adjusted to allow for smoother crowd movement, though the main race start time remains unchanged.
Northamptonshire Police had earlier urged fans to avoid arriving without valid tickets, warning of fake passes circulating online. Armed officers, ANPR cameras, and facial recognition systems will be deployed throughout the weekend to ensure public safety.
