The FIA has delivered its final decision on Lando Norris’s performance at the Australian Grand Prix, confirming that his race win remains intact. Following a detailed post-race investigation, officials declared that Norris’s McLaren complied with all technical regulations, including plank wear and ride height measurements.
Initial doubts were raised when pundit Anthony Davidson hinted that Norris’s car may have experienced excessive plank wear during the race. However, the FIA found no violations, meaning no penalties or disqualification would be issued.
With the ruling now official, Norris retains his full 25 points from the Australian Grand Prix, keeping him firmly in the championship fight. McLaren, too, can move forward without concerns, as the team’s result has been upheld in full.
The confirmation brings an end to any speculation, allowing McLaren and Norris to focus entirely on the upcoming rounds of the 2025 season.
