The changes, confirmed in a post-race document, have elevated both Hamilton and Ferrari in their respective categories—driver and constructor—offering a glimmer of hope after a tough first few rounds.
Ferrari had endured a rough beginning to the campaign, amassing a meager 17 points across the first three Grand Prix weekends. The situation was worsened by the disqualification of both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton at the Chinese Grand Prix due to a post-race technical infringement. This setback had initially dropped Ferrari to fifth in the constructors’ championship and cast doubt over their ability to compete at the front.
However, fortunes began to turn around in Suzuka. In a strong showing, Charles Leclerc finished fourth while Lewis Hamilton claimed a seventh-place finish, delivering much-needed points to their respective tallies.
