Vasseur, who has been under increasing pressure due to Ferrari’s underwhelming results this season, will remain in charge as team principal of Scuderia Ferrari HP. The decision to renew his contract indicates that Ferrari remains confident in his leadership and long-term vision for the team.
In an official press release shared on Thursday morning, Ferrari stated:
“Scuderia Ferrari HP is pleased to announce that it has extended, with a multiple-year contract, its agreement with Fred Vasseur, who will continue as team principal of Scuderia Ferrari HP for the coming Formula 1 seasons.”
Vasseur took over the reins at Ferrari at the beginning of the 2023 season, succeeding former team boss Mattia Binotto. Since then, he has worked on restructuring and guiding the team during a period of transition.
