Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant Take Spotlight at Mermaid Arts Centre’s Inaugural Documentary Week
Bray, Ireland – Legendary rock icons Led Zeppelin and frontman Robert Plant are set to be celebrated during the Mermaid Arts Centre’s very first Documentary Week, running from Monday, July 21 to Saturday, July 26. The event marks a unique tribute to some of music and culture’s most iconic figures, with a strong focus on groundbreaking storytelling through film.
The week-long event, curated by film programmer Stephanie Bruno, comes in response to the overwhelming popularity of the centre’s cinema programme. “We wanted to create something that goes deeper—documentaries that not only entertain but inspire, and there’s no better way to do that than through the legacy of artists like Led Zeppelin,” Bruno said.
Among the highly anticipated screenings is a documentary exploring Robert Plant’s post-Zeppelin journey, capturing his evolution as a solo artist and his deep connection to global musical influences. Viewers can expect rare interviews, archival footage, and insights into Plant’s personal and artistic growth since the band’s legendary era.
In addition to film showings, select screenings will feature live Q&A sessions with music historians and special guests, making this a must-attend week for both fans of classic rock and documentary film lovers.
