Miami Dolphins Sign 12 Players to Reserve/Future Contracts
The Miami Dolphins have announced the signing of 12 players to reserve/future contracts, a move that aims to strengthen their roster for the upcoming season. The players signed include wide receiver Tarik Black, linebacker William Bradley-King, safety Jordan Colbert, defensive tackle Neil Farrell, tackle Ryan Hayes, offensive lineman Chasen Hines, linebacker Dequan Jackson, cornerback Isaiah Johnson, cornerback Jason Maitre, tackle Bayron Matos, linebacker Derrick McLendon, and tight end Hayden Rucci.
Each of these players brings their unique story and experience to the table. Tarik Black, for instance, has had stints with the Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, and Baltimore Ravens, playing in one game with the Jets in 2021. He joined the Dolphins’ practice squad in October 2024.
William Bradley-King, on the other hand, spent the 2024 season on the Dolphins’ practice squad. He has appeared in four career contests with the Washington Commanders, recording seven tackles and a 0.5 sack.
The Dolphins have also signed safety Jordan Colbert, who spent the 2024 season on the team’s practice squad. Colbert played his final two collegiate seasons at Rhode Island, where he recorded 96 tackles, a 0.5 sack, two interceptions, and six passes defensed.
Defensive tackle Neil Farrell, who originally joined the Dolphins’ practice squad in September 2024, has also been signed to a reserve/future contract. Farrell has appeared in 19 career games with the Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, and Dolphins, recording 15 tackles, one pass defensed, and two tackles for loss.
The Dolphins have also signed tackle Ryan Hayes, who spent the offseason program and training camp with the team. Hayes entered the NFL as a seventh-round selection by the Dolphins in the 2023 NFL Draft and played collegiately at Michigan.
Offensive lineman Chasen Hines, who has spent two seasons on the Dolphins’ practice squad, has also been signed to a reserve/future contract. Hines played collegiately at LSU, where he appeared in 35 games with 17 starts.
The Dolphins have also signed linebacker Dequan Jackson, who spent the 2024 season on the team’s practice squad. Jackson entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023.
Cornerback Isaiah Johnson, who entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Dolphins in May 2024, has also been signed to a reserve/future contract. Johnson played his final two collegiate seasons at Syracuse, where he recorded 115 tackles, two interceptions, and nine passes defensed.
The Dolphins have also signed cornerback Jason Maitre, who entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Dolphins in May 2024. Maitre played his final collegiate season at Wisconsin, where he recorded 33 tackles, one interception, and four passes defensed.
Tackle Bayron Matos, who signed with the Dolphins as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program in May 2024, has also been signed to a reserve/future contract. Matos played collegiately at South Florida, where he appeared in two games in 2022.
The Dolphins have also signed linebacker Derrick McLendon, who joined the team’s practice squad in September 2024. McLendon entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Carolina Panthers in May 2024.
Finally, the Dolphins have signed tight end Hayden Rucci, who entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Dolphins in May 2024. Rucci played collegiately at Wisconsin, where he appeared in 36 games with 18 starts.
