The weather forecast for the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka is showing cool and calm conditions as the drivers head into the weekend, coinciding with the peak of cherry blossom season. While the lead-up to the race weekend is expected to remain stable, the forecast suggests that the weather could change as the race day approaches, depending on whether the early predictions hold true.

For the first day of the event, Friday, April 4, 2025, the weather during Free Practice 1 (FP1) is expected to be clear and dry. Temperatures will be relatively cool, around 14°C, and the conditions should be perfect for running, though wind will be a factor throughout the day. Gusts could reach speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour, which could influence the drivers’ handling of the cars, especially in the more open sections of the Suzuka circuit.

Later on Friday afternoon, Free Practice 2 (FP2) will also take place in dry and sunny conditions. The temperature will slightly rise to around 15°C, maintaining stable weather for the drivers to continue refining their setups. The consistent weather will allow teams to gather valuable data for their race strategies. However, the wind will remain a factor, keeping the challenge for the drivers as they adjust to the gusty conditions.

As for Saturday, the weather forecast suggests that dry conditions will persist into Free Practice 3 (FP3), which is set to take place at 12pm local time. With temperatures again expected to be around 14°C, it seems likely that the dry conditions will continue to favor running on the track. Teams will have one final opportunity to fine-tune their cars before qualifying.

The Japanese Grand Prix typically sees a mix of weather conditions, so the teams and drivers will be keeping a close eye on any potential changes. While the early forecast indicates a calm and dry lead-up to the weekend, the Suzuka circuit is known for its unpredictable nature, and there could still be surprises in store if the weather turns. Nonetheless, with cherry blossoms in full bloom, the early weather conditions provide an ideal setting for what is expected to be an exciting race weekend.
