Lando Norris will start the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix from pole position after narrowly beating Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli by just 0.011 seconds in qualifying.
It marks Norris’ third pole position in the last four races, with the McLaren driver producing a late lap in Madrid to edge out Antonelli and claim the top spot.
Antonelli will line up alongside Norris on the front row, while Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton occupy the second row. Between them, the two-time pairing brings an impressive 11 world championships and 177 Grand Prix victories to the front of the grid.
Charles Leclerc will start fifth, with Mercedes driver George Russell taking sixth. Oscar Piastri and Liam Lawson complete the next row, while Franco Colapinto and Racing Bulls youngster Arvid Lindblad round out the top 10.
Further down the order, Fernando Alonso will start 17th at his home Spanish Grand Prix, while Carlos Sainz has dropped to 20th after receiving a three-place grid penalty for impeding Valtteri Bottas during Q1.
Sergio Perez will start 18th, one position ahead of Bottas, while Lance Stroll is set to begin from 21st after failing to set a qualifying time.
Oliver Bearman will not take his place on the normal grid. After crashing during FP3 and subsequently requiring a chassis change, the Haas driver is scheduled to start from the pit lane.
The starting order remains provisional until it receives official confirmation from the FIA.
